My One and Only, I love you. You are gone but not forgotten.

Resolution from the Smith Family

Let it be known that in your time of loss, the Lord is with you every step of the way. Aunt Bonnie believed in the path of righteousness, and she knew the one who loved her most was always beside her. We, the members of the Smith Family want you to know that our prayers are with you as we bid a goodbye to Aunt Bonnie, a woman of faith, love and courage.

Yong Suk Smith, affectionately known as Aunt Bonnie, joined our family on April 28, 1976 when she was joined in holy matrimony to our Brother and uncle, Edward Smith.  

Aunt Bonnie was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her husband, daughters and granddaughters.  She was a woman of wisdom and a friend and confidant to many.  

The passing of our Aunt is the will of god and although the human bonds that fills our hearts with sorrow, will be replaced with joy as we know that Aunt Bonnie is now in a much better place.  For it is written in the Holy Scriptures according to 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord".  Although she is no longer present with us, she has been reunited with a host of family and friends, loved ones who have gone before her.  

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we embrace Edward, Kimiko, Nicole, Cailani and Mya with arms of love and uphold them with prayer during their time of bereavement.  We can not replace Aunt Bonnie, but will attempt to demonstrate her love for you always.  Her memory and legacy lives on through the lives she has touched. 

We acknowledge the family of Yong Suk "Bonnie" Smith. Your loss is great, but heaven has gained a noble servant. We want you to know that you will always be in our prayers and our thoughts and we will be here to help you in any way we can.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss.    I helped care for her at one point. She seemed like a wonderful lady.

The most beautiful woman I have ever loved. The best mother I have been so blessed to have known. Sometimes I look around the house and I still cant believe you are not here in the flesh, but I know you are here in spirit. You're strength will always be a reminder that we fight until the end and that we cherish every moment. I will love you forever mama.

To Heaven's Angel,
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me." With tearful eyes your family and friends watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.


To my extended family;
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why she left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived. And that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. Hold tight to memories for comfort. We're always here.
