Mr. Willie James Hall was born on October 13, 1945, to the late Jasper Hall and Hattie Lue (Spicer) Hall in Rocky Point, North Carolina. He was the fourth oldest of eight children. Willie attended elementary school in Rocky Point, NC, and later in Philadelphia where he earned many awards. In 1955, his parents moved the family to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At an early age, he realized he had a gift for working with numbers and excelled in math throughout school. While attending High School, he became ill his sophomore year and missed a year of school. However, he was not discouraged, Willie attended night school and worked during the day, once his health improved, he earned his High School Diploma. November 23, 1964, Willie married Ollie Mae Creecy, and that union produced three children. His journey continued with him landing a job at Liberty Savings and Loan where he later became an accounting executive. His employment with Liberty Savings and Loan spanned over 25 years. While working full-time, he attended Temple University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In 1992, the Halls moved to Texas, where Willie worked at Hall’s Residential Treatment Center as the payroll coordinator. In 2003, he began a new journey with Central Texas College first as an accounting tutor and then as a payroll coordinator. He remained in that position until he retired in 2013. In 2008, Willie worked with the Chrome Cruzer M/C outlying the financial aspects of starting a new club. When Willie was not at work, he enjoyed reading and going out to eat with Ollie.
Willie will forever be remembered as a quiet-loving man. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years Ollie Mae, three children James Willie Hall (Carolyn) Willie James Hall (Lillian) both of Philadelphia, PA, and Nicole Ollie Gayfield (Melvin) of Copperas Cove, TX. Willie has four grandchildren: James Hall, Davina Agbor, Willie Hall III, and Deion Byers. He also has two great grandchildren Roya Agbor and Emahzia Hall. Willie will also leave the following siblings to mourn his passing Jasper Hall Jr (Diane) of Franklinville, NJ, Edward Hall (Sandra) of Kempner TX, Mazelle Williams of Wilmington, NC, Deborah Bennett (Sean) of Sicklerville NJ, and Darryl Hall of Sicklerville NJ. As well as several great-great grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were very special to him along with a host of other relatives.
Willie will now join the family that has gone before him, his parents Jasper and Hattie Hall, two brothers Herman (John) Hall and Joseph Eugene Hall, and one brother in law Thomas Williams.
