William is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Toy P. Rogers; his daddy's girls - daughter's Veronica Rogers-Campbell and Verna Jeanine Rogers, and the lights of his life - his grandchildren - Adeyemi (Alex) Rogers-Campbell and Chloe Rogers-Campbell; his son in-laws Lydius Campbell and Tyron Arnold; His Brothers Earl Rogers and Clarence Rogers. and numerous family members.
He proudly served first in the United States Marines and then the United States Army, retiring as a first Sargeant at his last base of Ft. Hood in Killeen, Texas. honorably after 26 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his father Earl Rogers and his mother Mossella Rogers-Owens and Brother Gary and sisters Earlene and Norma.
Dad, we will miss you immensely. You made sure our mother never wanted for anything and you were our "go-to" when life got rough, you were our sanity in this crazy world, and our comfort when we needed clarity.
You were always someone we could count on, and although you were a straight shooter, you always provided sound advice to us and your grandchildren.
We all love you and will miss you.
