Mrs. Vilma Rivera Freeman (Ate Vi)

Vilma Rivera was born on September 30, 1951 to the late Alejandra and
Fernando Rivera of the Philippines. She was the sister of Lenith Atienza, William
Rivera and the late Teody Rivera. Vilma(Ate Vi) expired at Advent Health Hospital
on August 26,@ 06:35, She will be missed by many.
Survivors include: Her loving husband Edward Freeman; Sons: Eugene Michael,
and Edward II; Daughters: Samantha, Nicole and Germaine; Siblings: Lenith
(sister) and William (brother) as well as a host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews
and other relatives and friends.
Vilma graduated from San Pablo College in the Philippines where she studied
nursing. She worked in the Middle East as a nurse for 23 years and later worked at
White Memorial hospital in Los Angeles, California. She finished her career as a
nurse at Metroplex hospital here in Killeen, where she was the poster child for the
wound care department at Metroplex and was also the recipient of the Daisy
Award prior to retiring.
Viewing to the public will be on Friday August 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crawford-
Bowers funeral home chapel.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Services will be Saturday, August 31, 2019 @ 1:30 p.m. at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home Chapel
Inurnment will be at a later date.
