Vicki Jean Wanken

Vicki was a graduate of Ottawa High School and later she received an AA in Business Administration from Central TX College.

On November 13, 1970, she married John L. Wanken, a United States Army Soldier. As a military wife, Vicki loved to travel and entertain guests in her home. She also had a great passion for square dancing. Vicki was the Secretary of Killeen Kickers Square Dance Club and a recorder of Keep Killeen Beautiful Council.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Kotek and Rae Oudia Ely Kotek and one brother, Robert Kotek.

Vicki is survived by her husband, SGM (Ret.) John Wanken; one son Peter Wanken, daughters Kristina Wanken Myers, Susan Wanken Settle and Nancy Wanken Koehler; one brother Raymond Kotek; three sisters Beverly Shingler, Mary Lou Burrows and Betsy Miller; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Killeen with a Rosary being recited at 7 PM. A 9 AM Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
