Hello, My name is Deborah Rochford and I went to high school with Bobbie.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  I plan the reunions and we lost track of him several years back.  I am glad to see that he was very happy with you and your family at the end of his life.  He was a great person, so much fun to have around.  He will be greatly missed.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bobby's untimely passing! We have fond memories of Bobby growing up on Brook Avenue in Riverside! He will be greatly missed by all! Sending love, sympathy and prayers to the entire McCaughey family!

I am in total shock and extremely sad to learn of Bob's passing at such a young age.  I knew him during both his times at WPRI-TV.  He was always talented at what he did and always a gentleman's gentlemen.  My son worked with his son, Padriac on a special school project.  I was always hoping to have been able to spend more time with him at some future date to catch up on our careers and life.

I was very sad to learn of Bob's passing.  I hadn't spoken to him in many years, but I have fond memories of him from junior high and high school.  To Bob's family, please accept my sincerest condolences.  I know he'll be missed.

I am sadden to hear of the passing of my friend Bobby, 'Eric', McCaughey.  I will always remember the fun Bob had jousting with 'Yim' always trying to one-up the other!  Those were great years at Colby and I'll always remember Bobby, my roommate, as a very sensitive, thoughtful person who always was there when other's were in need.  We love you and will miss you dearly.  My thoughts and prayer go out to Mary, the kids and grandchildren.  God bless you all!

Even though I have not seen Bob in a very long time (since college days), this hit hard - that's the kind of guy Bob was. Absolutely unforgettable. Always smiling, quick with a joke, always thinking of others, and always up to something. It was truly an honor to be a friend of Bob.

With shocked sadness I learned of Bobby's passing.  He was truly one of the loveliest people I knew.  He had an amazing love for people and a zeal for making everyone around him happy.  A huge loss for all of us who loved him.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing.  We met freshmen year at Colby and lived across the hall from each other in Pepper.  We joined Lambda Chi Alpha in the same pledge class.  Bob was a terrific person, I will always remember his smile and his warm personality.  Godspeed Bob.  My sympathies to Mary and all of Bob's family.

So kind, caring and lovingly devoted to family and friends.  My heart weeps for the loss of such a special friend.  Bob, I will always miss you and being one of the "Riverside" gang made you a very special friend.  My last memory of you will be dancing the night away at my daughter's wedding in 2015. 

To Mary, his wonderful sons, his siblings--Bob would want us all to remember the good times.  Let's all treasure the memories and look out at a sunset and recall his warm smile.

Bobby was a great friend to all of us......Class of '79 at Colby College....Lambda Chi/Choppers.  Thoughtful, kind, smiling.  Always there for us all.  Many great, happy memories of him.  All of my best to his family and loved ones.
