He was born Oct. 31,1948, in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Marjorie Fay. Robert graduated from Wilson High School, Youngstown, Ohio in 1966 and earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice while serving in the military.
Bob served honorably in the United States Army. His tours of duty include Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne DIV, Korea, and Germany. Bob retired with the 1st Cavalry DIV at Fort Hood, TX after 20 years of service. His medals include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. Bob also retired from his 2nd career as truck driver. On 17 August 2014, he was ordained and served as a deacon at Skyline Baptist Church of Killeen, TX.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Joyce Fay. He has two sons, Scott and Daniel, five grandchildren, Jacob, Danielle, Joshua, Emilee and Natalee; a sister, Patricia Grey, and brother, Gary Fay.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2017, at Skyline Baptist Church, 906 Trimmier Rd.,Killeen, TX 76541, followed by a graveside service with military honors at Central Texas Veterans Cemetery, 11463 SH195, Killeen, TX.
