Richard Lee Walker was born on November 20, 1955 to M.C. Walker and Mary Jane (Horton) Walker in Tyronza , AK. He married Gina (Smith) Walker on 18 December 1979. He is survived by his wife Gina Walker, his children Twaila M. Walker of Florida, Richard L Walker JR of Killeen, Texas., his sister, Catherine Walker of Racine Wisconsin, Eugene and Jeanette Walker of New Jersey, Robert and Joy Walker of Minneapolis, MN, Fred Walker of Racine Wisconsin, Mary Walker of Arizona and a host of nieces and nephews. His Grandchildren, Amarion Mason Winchester, Taylor Mitchell King, Eli Nicholas King-Walker, Jeremiah Walker.
He was greatly loved by his family, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was baptized in the Christian faith in Jesus name in his thirties. After coming to Grace Christian Center in 1996 he came and never left. He sat under the teaching of Pastors Tery, Jan and Steve until their passing on 10 July 2013. His faith and dedication to Jesus continued until 16 August 2024 when he asked God to take him home.
He loved his grandchildren with fervent love. He did everything he could to support his children and grandchildren. He went to work to buy his first grandson his first crib, toys, highchairs, walkers, clothes shoes, and everything he thought they would need. etc. he was a hard worker. He would go out in the one-hundred-degree weather to supply the needs of his family.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don’t hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I’m glad because I couldn’t stand that pain anymore and God couldn’t stand to see me hurt so much, either. That’s when He sent the Angel of Mercy to come and get me. The angel said I was a special delivery! How about that?

A Visitation for Richard will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Charis Church. A Service will occur Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM followed by a Committal Service at 2:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
