Phyllis was raised by her grandparents, Bergan and Bessie Brown in Swannie, Tennessee. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church - Trimmier in Killeen, Texas.
Phyllis married the love of her life, Clinton Griffin on November 6, 1959 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clinton Griffin; 2 sons, Clinton Griffin Jr. (Stephanie Griffin) of Kempner, Texas and Richard Griffin (Debbie Griffin) of Killeen, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members in Florida and Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis & Hazel Carey of Monroe Michigan; grandparents, Bergan and Bessie of Tennessee; Sisters, Cleo Amolsch and Judy Pieseck and her beloved Grandson, Carl Griffin.
A Visitation for Phyllis will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. A Service will occur Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Committal Service will occur Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Killeen City Cemetery.
