Patrick was born November 28, 1958, to Dean and Mozelle Adamson in Killeen, the same city in which he grew to be a young man. Pat grew up an avid motocross racer holding his AMA Professional Card. Pat competed all over the southern United States including races held at the Houston Astrodome, Louisiana Superdome, and Texas Stadium, cultivating friendships along the way that would last a lifetime.
Pat graduated from Killeen High School in 1977 and attended Southwest Texas State University. While in college he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, where he forged lifelong bonds with his fraternity brothers. Following college, Pat entered the family business and worked for several years before branching out on his own. He was a successful businessman who excelled in the automobile industry and real estate where he built a strong foundation of partnerships and friends.
Pat was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, and skiing. He was always excited for the next adventure and ready to go at a moment's notice. He loved road trips with family and friends and would load the Suburban and head to Port A or Colorado. He was full of fun and loved his children. He was a dedicated father, brother, and a loving grandfather to eight. He loved to cook, and his favorite memories were made around the smoke pit at the family lake house on Inks Lake. Pat loved most of all being around his family and was happiest when everyone was together.
Through the years Pat attended the Church of Christ in Belton and Youngsport, and in his later years, the Maxdale Cowboy Church.
Pat will always be remembered for his big heart, giving spirit, culinary feats, and outgoing personality. Pat’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
