Monta Harris

Monta P. Harris, aged 73, passed away on October 9, 2024, at home surrounded by her family in Killeen, Texas. Mrs. Harris born on March 31, 1951, Monta was known for her happy, friendly, and loving nature, always placing family at the forefront of her life.

Monta is survived by her daughter Sabrena Traylor, son Virgil Harris, grandson Wyatt Dylan Traylor, and a great grandchild expected in April 2025. She also leaves behind her sister Linda Heinzelmann and her brother Bobby Joe Beatty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Harris, son Drexel Harris and sister Brenda Swiger, and her parents Minnie and Dennis Beatty.

Throughout her life, Monta cherished moments spent playing bingo and enjoying the company of her family, creating lasting memories with those she loved.

A service to honor Monta’s life will be held, Friday, October 11, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, located at 1615 S Fort Hood in Killeen, TX 76542. Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Virgil and Monta Harris will be laid to rest together.
