Monika Margot Brome

Monika Margot Brome, 78, of Killeen passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Harker Heights. She was born on August 6, 1945 in Worms, Germany to Erich and Margot Mueller Pietzonka, She was the 3rd of four children.

Monika met Frank E. Brome in 1966 in Germany while on active duty for the US Army. They married on February 16, 1967.

She lived in Worms, Germany then moved to the Black forest for awhile with the Nuns, then came back to Worms to work in the local hospital. That is where we met and fell in love. Her favorite hobbies were cooking and gardening: she loved flowers. She was Catholic.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 57 years, Frank Brome of Killeen, a son Erich Brome of New Braunfels, a grandson Myles Brome and two sisters; Petra Junk, Marika Spazier, and an Aunt Ursula Warick.

A visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 10 am to 11:30 am at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 am. Interment in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery will be at 2 pm.
