Maria R. Marin

Maria Refugio Marin passed away at her home Monday, January 16th. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 20, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with rosary at 7:00 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. Services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, January 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Killeen City Cemetery. Reception following the burial will be at St. Paul Chong Hasang Hall.

Mrs. Marin was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Luz T. Marin; sisters, Reyes Ortiz, Luz Garcia, Angela Ontivares, and a brother Felipe Sandate.

She is survived by five children, Bertha Reyna (husband Jose) of Killeen, Paula Tobar (husband Marcelino) of Belton, George Marin of Waco, Carlos Marin (wife Joyce) of Moorehead, KY, Dolores Martinez (husband Roberto) of Harker Heights; one brother Vicente Sandate; 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Maria retired following 25 years of service for the Killeen Independent School District.

Pallbearers will be Roberto Martinez, III, Nicholas Martinez, Matthew Tobar, Felis Reyna, Joseph Marin, and George L. Marin.
