Luis Enrique Gonzalez

Retired Sergeant First Class Luis Enrique Gonzalez was a caring husband, father, brother and friend to many. He has transitioned this world on September 21, 2023 at the age of 66 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, TX.

Luis was born on November 11, 1956 in Salinas, Puerto Rico. After completing primary educational studies Luis pursued his purpose to serve abroad in the United States Army accompanied by his wife and children. Luis loved the arts and enjoyed listening and dancing to international rhythms. He was a spiritual man involved in many church activities and even served as treasurer; he will be deeply missed by family, close friends and all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by daughter Sacchia Judith Giardino-Gonzalez, father Donaciano and mother Maria Gonzalez.

Luis is survived by his wife the former Judith Raquel Cora, son Manuel Enrique Gonzalez and grandchildren Alessandra and Isabella Giardino and Joell Luis and Jiovan Manuel Gonzalez.

A Visitation for Luis will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. A Service will occur Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church followed by a Committal Service with Full Military Honors at 1:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
