Kenneth Nell Kelley was born to Joseph and Lottie Williams in Salado, TX on March 20, 1938. The family moved to Burnet, TX where Nell graduated from Burnet High School. Upon graduation she went to work for the Burnet County Gas Company and started a family with Jerry Beggs Kelley. Nell also ran the front office of the Highlander Inn and later ran the gift shop at Longhorn Cavern State Park while in Burnet. In 1970 they moved to Killeen, TX where she began a career with the Killeen Independent School District. Nell worked at Nolan Junior High School, Manor Middle School, Ellison High School, and at the district office. After retirement she spent her time in her yard as she loved being outdoors and working with her plants. Nell loved to help people and was known as a person who would always lend a helping hand to a person in need.
Kenneth Nell was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Beggs Kelley, her son Sean Feral Kelley, and her 6 siblings of Burnet, TX. She is survived by her son Dana Karl Kelley of Houston, son Fred Colby Kelley of Killeen, daughter-in-law Sherry L. Kelley of Killeen, 4 grandchildren Joseph, David, Kyle, Kayla, and Elijah, and 3 great grandchildren Hannah, Taylor, and Lidia.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the American Cancer Society.
