It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joshua T. Mangum, who departed this world on August 15, 2024, at the age of 35. Joshua was a beloved husband, expected to be father, son, brother, soldier, and friend, whose smile and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born on November 11, 1988 in San Antonio, Texas to Lee Mangum and Cari Kautz. Joshua grew up with a passion for basketball, learning, and an unwavering dedication to his family. No matter who you were he’d greet you with the biggest smile that could light up any room or situation.
Joshua was a dedicated U.S. Army Soldier for 14 years and planned to retire with the military. He cherished his Bravo. 1-8 unit. Beyond his professional life he loved to play basketball, bowling, video games, and spend quality time with his wife going on adventures, laughing, or just watching his favorite movies.
Joshua is survived by his loving wife Brittany M. Mangum(Craft),who is expecting their first child, his mother; Cari Kautz, Father and Stepmother; Lee Mangum & Robin Mangum, His brothers & their spouses; Dustin Mangum & Brittany Mangum(Ingle), Taylor Mangum, and Braden Mangum, his Paternal Grandfather; Bobby Mangum, and his Maternal Grandmother Pat McCollum.
He is preceded in death by his brother Cody Mangum, Paternal Grandmother Clarice Mangum, and Maternal Grandfather Joseph McCollum.
He will be remembered for his contagious smile, gentle spirit, his sense of humor, and his deep commitment to those he loved. Joshua’s presence in our lives was a gift, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life for Joshua will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, Texas.
