Joseph (Joe) Walker, 68, of Belton, TX, passed away on Wednesday, January 31st. He was born on June 26th, 1955, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to James and Eleanor Walker. Joe graduated from Archbishop Kennedy High School before joining the United States Army. There he went into the special forces and became an Army Ranger. Joe married Margaret on October 19th, 1984, and had 3 children. Joe was a proud member of Now What? Veterans group and the American Legion. He had three passions in life. His family, his country, and critical care/emergency nursing. He was a husband, a father, and grandfather. He found happiness in playing with his grandkids. He will be remembered for many things. Anything he attempted to do he became great at, but the one thing he was the best at was being the world’s best grandfather. Poppop as the grandchildren wound call him. He was preceded in death by his father James, mother Eleanor, and brother Edward. Joe is survived by his wife Margaret, children Joe, Patricia, and Regina, and grandchildren Landen, Joseph, and Isabelle. The viewing will be held on Thursday the 8th from 6-8 at Crawford and Bowers funeral home in Killeen, Tx. Joe will have a graveside service at Central Texas Veterans Cemetery at 9 am Friday the 9th.
