I was stationed in Korea with Joey 88-90.    Super funny guy.   I'd been looking for him for years.  I found a copperas cove address for him many years ago and sent him a letter.  It was extremely upsetting to find out he'd passed away so young.  He was so full of life.  He was a genuinely good human being with a big heart.   I'm sure he's up in heaven making the angels laugh....and do 200 push ups a day! 

Joey and I grew up together and were best friends. He was my drummer in a few rock bands. Will never forget the good times. He will be greatly missed.

Joey was a BIG deal on the drum line! I can remember whenever he stepped up to play, it was with enthusiasm and tons of rhythm! He gave it his all! Just like he gave his all to his smile and his enthusiasm in living. Joey always made you feel special and brought a smile to your face when you were around him. I moved away after high school, but never forgot Joey...who could! That thrill of watching him graduate was one to remember! Joey was special and will be missed and I'm sorry we lost touch. God bless his family and their loss! My prayers to you all in this very sad time...he was a great guy!

I worked for Joey's Dad for over 5 yrs & watched Joey grow up-lost contact about 5 yrs ago but always kept up with him thru the grapevine--He was always there for me-love ya' Joey may you rest in peace

I met Joey when I was 5 years old playing little league baseball. Later we played High School baseball together and he was such a great pitcher. He was so much fun to be around and he was so talented in everything he did. Years later I remember seeing him at church giving his heart to the Lord. My prayers are with his family. He will be missed greatly.

I am so sorry to hear about his passing.  I have nothing but fond memories of Joey.  His smile was so contagious.  He will be missed.

i remember Joey as a funny and outspoken guy in high school. He was always fun to be around, and never at a loss for words. I was very sorry to hear about his passing. My condolences to his family, and all of his friends.

I was very sad to hear of Joey's passing. Our families had a lot of good times together during our school years when we all worked at the Commissary. Joey was always a person that was easy to get along with. He will most definitely be missed. My sincere condolences to his family, and to his many friends, for their loss.

Joey was our local version of John Travolta. Bigger than life, fun and people loving too. Don't remember any of his dance moves but, I do know that he was always moving and mostly to be near his friends. And we all loved him. Who wouldn't love a guy named Joey LaRocco?

So sorry to hear of Joey's passing. I have a lot of good memories of him in high school and band. I have a favorite memory of joey and the boys playing drum solo's at many a pep rally. May he rest in peace and may his family and friends find peace. Always remember him with a smile.

I was saddened to hear of Joey's passing. I also went to High School with him in Killeen.  He had a beautiful smile and always kept those around him smiling and laughing. In our hearts we all know that someone so special can never be forgotten.  Keep the Laughter going Joey !

Joey and I grew up in the same neighborhood, started school together, played baseball together and against each other, played the drums together, laughed together and were sad together.  I am deeply saddened at his passing.  God, please give the family the strength to cope with their loss.
