John M. Starnes was born January 29, 1945 in Enid, Oklahoma, the 3rd child born to Elmer and Leora Starnes.

John attended schools and received his education in Enid attending the now historic Carver Elementary School and Booker T. Washington High School.

At an early age John received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He also accepted the call on his life as a Child Minister to preach God's Word. And he continued sharing the Word of God as long as someone would listen--until the day of his death, on the HOP, at the VA, at Walmart and on and on.

John met and married the beautiful Yvonne Adams in 1965. And to this marriage came 3 beautiful children -- Crystal, John Jr., and Yvette.

On Wed., Oct 2, John left his earthly body (riddled with pain and disease) and transitioned into

pain free, absent from the body, and was now present with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

John leaves to mourn his family, which includes 5 grandchildren, his VA family, his neighbors, and a whole host of other family members and friends.
