James Bell

James Bell, age 93, passed away peacefully in Killeen, Texas, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. James was born on February 2, 1929, to Wyansie and Lillie Bell in Frogmore, Louisiana. He lived in Ferriday, Louisiana for many years before settling in Killeen with his oldest son, Earnest James Bell. He worked for Louisiana Power and Light Company for 35 years until his retirement. James Bell was a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church. He was baptized on August 10, 1994.

James leaves to cherish his memories, 2 sons, Earnest and Freddie; a stepson, Willie Edwards; a stepdaughter, Betty Hooper; a sister, Susan B. Tolliver; a special niece, Crystal Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and friends.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. A service will occur Friday, October 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM. A committal service will occur Friday, October 21, 2022 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 20001-24499 Highway 195, Killeen, TX 76549.
