She was preceded in death by her husband; Col. Nelson Acker, great-great-granddaughter, Mary Katherine Johnson; and brothers; Ray, Paul, Jack and J.C. Gentry.
Survivors include a daughter; Nelwyn Cole (Larry); a sister, Mae Maddux of Alto; grandchildren, Clay Cole (Diane), Steve Cole, and LaKeith Alley (Will), all of Killeen; great-grandchildren, Shae Alley Chavez (Hiraldo), Amanda Cole Irvin (Robert) and Michael Cole of Killeen, Kristen Alley Johnson (Andrew) of Kingwood, Jessica Alley Brey (Chet) of Fort Wort; great-great-grandchildren, Brian and Eli Chavez, Mackenzie and Shelby Baggett and Melanie and Frances Johnson.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
