Funeral services for Irene M. Dodson, 64, of Killeen will be Friday, April 29, 2011 at 2pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial with full military honors will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Mrs. Dodson passed away April 7, 2011 in Temple, Texas.
Mrs. Dodson was born on August 4,1946 in Beelickknob, West Virginia, but grew up in Wipple, West Virginia.
Mrs. Dodson was an Army veteran of 23yrs. Then became a prison guard in Georgia. She moved to Killeen in 2002 to be closer to her son.
Irene was a Christian and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and celebrating ALL occasions.
She is survived by two sons, Charles E. Dodson and wife Jameka, and Kevin McCormick and wife Joletta of Detroit, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, Tahjai, Keyana, Kevin Jr., Camille, and Victoria.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
