“Lou” was born April 23, 1957, in Killeen, Texas, and was a lifelong area resident. After graduating from Killeen High School in 1975, Lou owned and operated Quality Auto Glass for 42 years. Lou took great pride in his business, and truly relished the friends he made during his time in the business. He recently retired to start a second career working with his son-in-law, Jacob at Lange Roofing. He was a skilled craftsman who could build or fix anything. Lou was an avid sportsman, a rodeo bull rider in his youth, and a champion water skier. But Lou loved spending quality time with his family, dedicating much of it to his beloved mother, Laverne, with whom he attended church and spent much cherished time every day. When he wasn’t planning, organizing, cleaning, repairing, or helping someone, he loved spending evenings at home with his trusty dog, Renthal, sitting at his side.
Lou was happiest when with his family and he leaves his wife of 9 years, Deborah Garrell Wallace; his mother, Laverne Wallace; his two sisters, Jan Dowell and Marilyn Free and her husband, Tracey; his brother, Robert Wallace and his wife Rebecca; his two daughters and their husbands, Krystle and Jacob Lange and their son Brody (“B”) with baby on the way, and Lindley and T.J. Mendoza; his stepson David Lee Garrell, IV and his wife Samantha and their daughters Zoey and Rylee. Lou is predeceased by his father, Robert P. Wallace; and his brother-in-law, Tommy Dowell. There are many other family members and close friends that made an impact on Lou’s life. They are certainly remembered, honored, and not forgotten.
