Gene Arnold Gross

He was born in Loraine on Dec. 28, 1933, to Jesse and Ruby Hodges Gross.

He was in the Navy and served in Korea. He married Donna Linden on Aug. 1, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nev. For a living, he was a master plumber but his passion was his grandchildren and golf.

Mr. Gross was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, J.C. Gross and Teddy Gross. Gene is survived by his loving wife, Donna, of 25 years of Killeen.

Survivors include four sons, Craig M. Gross of Killeen, Mitchell N. Gross and his wife, Carla, of Big Springs, Blake D. Gross and his wife, Geneva, of Waco, Michael Hendrickson and his wife, Jennifer, of Houston; two daughters, Jana J. Williams of Florence, and Adana Frey of Kyle; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Drew Hale, Ronnie Hale, Larry Gross, Brent Gross, Cameron Gross and Randal McDonald.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
