Edward Wayne McBride

Mr. McBride died Feb. 29, 2012. He was born Sept. 4, 1943.

He graduated from St. Martin College with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

He was a rotary and fixed-wing pilot. He served 27 years of active duty in the military and was a Vietnam veteran.

He retired Jan. 31, 1993, with numerous medals, including a Bronze Star.

Upon retirement from the military, he served 18 years for the city of Killeen.

He was a devoted and loving, caring husband, a devoted and loving father and Paw Paw. We will truly miss you and always carry you in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyce Edward and Edna McBride; and nephew, John Allison.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; daughters, Melissa Rogers and Debbie (Jimmy) Robertson; son, Michael (Angie) Level; six grandchildren; two sisters, Martha (Ronnie) Rollins of South Carolina and Prisilla Allison of Georgia; one brother, Harry Wesley McBride of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews and two great-nieces.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
