Dorothy (“Nan”) was born on December 1st, 1927, in Rockdale, Texas. She was the beloved wife of Jesse Harrelle Williams, with whom she shared 74 years of marriage. Together, they built a family full of love, raising 3 children.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great- and great-great-grandmother. As a grandmother, Nan was a constant source of wisdom and love to her 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love.
Dorothy (Nan) will be remembered for her warm heart, her passion for cooking and crafts, and her dedication to those she loved. As a long-time cherished member of the Memorial Baptist Church of Killeen Texas, she was Director of Vacation Bible School and woman’s Bible study teacher, she touched the lives of all who knew her with her selflessness and unwavering faith. She had also been employed with First National Bank and Williams Pharmacy.
She is survived by her daughters Joan M. Williams & Peggy L. Morrison, and son Harry L. Williams and wife Rita, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many dear friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse H. Williams, her parents Louis & Mattie Morrison, 3 brothers Elvin (Bill) C. Morrison, Elmer (Crump) C. Morrison, & Maxie (Mac) Morrison, her sister Mildred (Sis) Haggard, and grandson Harry L. Williams Jr. (Thump).
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on September 13th from 11:00a – 1:00p at Crawford Bowers funeral home in Killeen Texas with graveside service at 1:30p at Killeen City Cemetery.
