A celebration of life service for Donald Lee Porter, 57, of Corpus Christi, Texas will be held at high noon, Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. He was born December 2, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Alfred and Clara Porter and passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his home. He graduated from Ray High School in 1976 where he sang in the choir. He proudly served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm. He was a successful contractor and worked many years at Fort Hood Military Base. Don loved anything outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish or drink some black coffee and talk about hunting and fishing. Don had a big heart, loved his kids, his family and his friends.
Don is survived by sons Christopher Adam Jones Porter, and Nathan John Porter, father, Alfred Thomas Porter, and a sister Diane Elizabeth Routh, all of Corpus Christi, Texas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Nell (Schafer) Porter and is wife Unmi (Chong) Porter.
