Deloris Owens, age 89, entered her eternal rest on July 12, 2024 at her home in Killeen, Texas. She was born in Argyle, Florida on August 7, 1934. She was the youngest of six children born to Salathiel and Willie Jackson. She attended school at Tivoli, attended College in Pensacola, Florida where she met and later married the love of her life in 1954 and became a military wife in every sense of the word. She loved taking care of her family and she was very good at it. She was the best Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma anyone could ask for. That same love of family carried over to the next generation and the next. Family was everything to her as it is to us.
(Granddaughter) Our Grandma was able to change moods and strengthen your spirit with her nurturing heart. She was the mirroring image of all the strong women before her. We can only hope to resemble that image today.
