David Holz was born on August 26, 1967 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, lived much of his life in Gainesville, Florida, and moved to Killeen, Texas when he was stationed at Fort Hood. He was a combat veteran and was proud to have served his country. He died on December 20, 2024 at the age of 57.
David had a fierce love and devotion for his family and friends, and friends became family quickly. He was well known for his big bear hugs and hearty laugh. Many referred to him as “Pops” because he was a father figure to them. He was willing to help anyone in need no matter when they called, day or night. David was an icon in the towing community, having trained and mentored many drivers in several companies in the area.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Holz, his children Jacqueline Hinkle and John Bradley Holz, his mother, Ann West, his siblings Sabrina West, Adam West and Wendy Holz and grandchildren Logan, Adeleine, and Lainie Belle Hinkle. He is deeply missed by many.
