Roy Dale Fisher, 60, of Killeen Texas met his Savior face-to-face the morning of September 25, 2021. Dale revealed his true strength with the long fight he fought in the hospital for 57 days.
Dale was the 10th of 11 children in the Fisher family. He holds a special place in each of his brothers and sisters hearts and will be greatly missed. He was born the same year as the Dallas Cowboys began their first season. Those who knew Dale, know he is one of their biggest fans...and we all knew not to interrupt a game.
Dale is an Army Veteran who served his country well. He loved his country and was proud of his service. Through the years he earned his AC Tech certification and claimed his status as a "JOAT". (jack-of-all-trades) He was willing to be "voluntold" and also helped those he could when volunteers were needed. When Dale wasn't working, he could be found spending time with his wife of 20 years, Becky, and their children James and Elizabeth. Those we asked to describe Dale said he was a good man. He told the corniest dad jokes, had a sweet spirit, and was kind of those around him. He lived his life well and ended it worshiping and praying to his Savior with strength and courage.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents James Edison Fisher and Hester Lorene Fisher, and his sister Wilma Dean Long.
Dale is survived by his wife Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Fisher, son James Wesley Fisher, and daughter Elizabeth Lorene Fisher; 5 Sisters and 4 brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and an enormous church family.
A committal service with Military Honors will occur Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Kyser Family Cemetery, Kaufman, Texas.
