He left this Earth on September 11, 2022 to join our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Clarence was born on May 29, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Lawrence Sanders and Emma Lean (Abram) Sanders.
After serving 20 years in the Army, SFC Sanders retired and continued serving the community of Killeen, TX as the pastor of Word of God Christian Fellowship church. He had a thirst for knowledge, always reading and studying the word of God. With a strong, commanding presence and huge heart, he loved life and loved serving all of God's children.
He's survived by his children Reginald Sanders and wife, Carmen Sanders, Ollie Sanders and wife, Monica Sanders, and Jordon Sanders and wife, Raynal Sanders; brother, Embry Sanders; and six beautiful grandchildren who were the absolute light of his life.
Clarence loved his family and they were at the forefront of his mind at all times. He loved God and was adamant about the Name of Jesus Christ being acknowledged and promoted, as well as the redemptive power of Jesus’ work at the cross. He spent countless days and hours ensuring the life of Jesus Christ was his model for living and the treatment of others.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 6th from 4-8 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers funeral home, who is in charge of arrangements.
