Charlotte graduated from Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas and attended Henderson Community College. She returned to Killeen, and several years later begin working for the Texas Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer until 2003. In 1992, Charlotte married Patrick Lamar Anderson until his death in 1997. In 2003, Charlotte moved back to Orlando and completed her Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from Valencia Community College. She returned to Killeen, in 2007 and worked as a Substitute Teacher before becoming a Teacher Assistant at Maxdale Elementary School.
Left to cherish her memories are her beloved son, Jalen Lamar Anderson, her mother Allie Mariah Kelley Walker (Winter Park, FL), siblings Beulah Walker Clark (Phillip) (Nolanville, TX) Donahue Johnson and Connie Walker (Winter Park, FL) Jacque Jones (Ft. Pierce, FL), nephews RoShan Rousseau, Donahue Johnson Jr., Kameron Clark (Ingrid), Donovan Johnson, great niece and nephew Willow and Amaji Rousseau and a host of cousins, friends and best friend Tracy Crane Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her father Tommy Lee James, her husband Patrick Lamar Anderson and stepfather Thomas Walker.
A Visitation for Charlotte will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood Street, Killeen, TX.
A Funeral will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers are RoShan Rousseau, Kameron Clark, Andrew Stribling, Donahue Johnson Jr., James Roy Thomas and Phillip Clark.
