Carol Ann Rousar

She was born on January 31, 1942, in Lincoln Nebraska to Hugh and Elsie Outz. Carol attended Lincoln High School and graduated in the class of 1961 then began her career in the Women's Army Corps (WAC). She rose to the rank of specialist serving as a medic working in the hospital maternity ward.

Carol married Edwin Rousar on May 8, 1963, and had three children, Adam, Dale, and Nancy.

She will always be remembered for her love of animals, independence, and stubbornness in doing things her way on her timeline. She was a loving, patient, amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers of Seton Medical Center and Rosewood Skilled Nursing Center for providing exceptional care to their mother.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Elsie Outz.

She is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Children: Son Adam Rousar and his wife Elvira Rousar of Nolanville TX, her son Dale Rousar and his wife Elizibeth Rousar of Nolanville TX, and her daughter Nancy Dillon of Canal Fulton, OH.

Grandchildren: Brandy Dale of Augusta GA, Euteva Clemons of Temple TX, Dallas Rousar of Nolanville TX, Ashton Rousar of Killeen TX, Amber Lynn Rousar of Killeen TX, Tyler Dillon of New Philadelphia OH, Jared Dillon of Canal Fulton.

Great-Grandchildren: Casey Rousar of Killeen TX, Allen Dale, Arabella Dale, and Samuel Dale of Augusta GA, Jakson Rousar of Killeen TX, and Rhett Dillon of Canal Fulton OH.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday February 6, 2024, at 9:00 am followed by the chapel service at 10:00 am at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S Fort Hood St, Killeen, TX 76542.

The interment will be at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542 at 2:00pm.
