MSG Bradly Jones is survived by his devoted wife Malissa R Jones. And his three daughters Brittney Jones (Emilio), Andrea Jones, Taylor Jones, Harker Heights, TX. His parents Richard and Geraldine Jones, San Benito, Tx. His brothers Joseph Jones (Sheena), Harker Heights, TX and Richard Jones Jr, Minnesota. Along with four nephews, and five nieces. He was welcomed home in heaven by his infant son, Grandparents Gerald & Donna Wilson, Father & Mother in law Jack & Janice Eldridge, infant nephew Dean, and many other loving family and friends.
Brad was born on January 11th, 1971 in Waterloo, Iowa. He graduated from New Hartford High School in 1989 and was very proud that he earned his associates degree after his last tour in Iraq. He began his Military career 18 August 1989 and served overseas tours in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Haiti, Iraq and numerous stateside assignments. He retired a decorated and respected Master Sergeant on 1 November 2011. But if you were to ask Brad about his time in the Military and all of the awards and recognition he received he would simply say, “I was just doing my job.”
Brad’s greatest and most valued accomplishment was his family. He married his life, his world, and his dream girl on 23 December 1989. Their story started when they were sophomores in high school. Everyone who knew them reveled in watching them fall in love because even back then it was clear they were in the presence of two souls meant to be together forever. Their love only grew throughout the years and shines through in their three girls; Brittney, Andrea, and Taylor. Brad dedicated his life to making sure his family had everything they could ever need and never put himself before them. His four girls were all he ever talked about to anyone who would listen and even if they weren’t but the love and adoration he had for them radiated with every word.
Brad was quick to laugh and enjoyed the little things in life like an ice cold Coors Lite and warm Texas night. He would always say, “you can’t please everyone,” but he made a friend everywhere he went. Brad had the very special gift of making everyone feel like family no matter how brief the contact, he had a personal connection to everyone he met and his smile and energy reached for miles. Even when it came to friends he always lent a helping hand. If you needed a shirt, he would give you the one off his back. If you needed a dollar, he would give you his last one. Jane Austen perfectly described the belief Brad had, “There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people in halves, it is not in my nature.”
