Bobbie was born August 3, 1933 in Bridgeport, Alabama to Shelley and Edna Parker Jones.
She married Zack Knight on May 10, 1952 in Columbus, Georgia. They had two children, Zack Jr. and Melissa.
Bobbie worked at Fort Hood in the Civil Service and retired after 27 years of faithful service and was a loyal member of the Church of Christ. Her passion was painting; she painted everyday she could. A few of Bobbie’s favorite subjects were bluebonnets and oil wells and she shared her works with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters and on October 26, 2011, her daughter, Melissa Knight.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 71 years, Zack Knight, Sr.; son and daughter in law, Zach Jr. and Elisha Tompkins; a grandson, Dylan Knight and two adopted granddaughters, Chrystal and Bethney
Knight.
A visitation for Bobbie will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Killeen, Texas. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 3:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Texas.
