Billy was born on November 13, 1940, in Briggs, Texas, but he spent his formative years in Killeen, Texas. He went on to become a master electrician working for Fisher Electric and later Killeen ISD. Additionally, he owned a small business called Wendi's Snow Cones that ran on Ft Hood for a number of years. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.
But more than anything, Billy was a devoted family man. He loved spending time with his family, sharing stories, weekend poker games, and watching his favorite westerns (and the Dallas Cowboys). He also enjoyed hunting Colorado in “that damn bus”, bowling, reading westerns by Louis L’Amour, and playing the tables in Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Bessie Williams, three sisters, Juanell Powell, Shirley Dunn, and Carolyn (Corky) O’Dell, brother Odell Williams, former wife, Suzie Olig Williams, son Steven Millsap, grandson Nathaniel Williams, and great-granddaughter Mickelle Wagner.
Billy is survived by his wife, Glenda, his sister, Ruby Williams, his sister-in-law, Janet Williams, his children, Wendi Smith and her husband Alan, Travis Williams and his wife Brandi, Linda Hutto and her husband Donald, James Millsap and his wife Amy, Betty Millsap Boriskie, daughter-in-law, Debbie Millsap and his 15 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Street, Killeen, Texas.
A Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 3:00 PM, Killeen, TX at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial will follow at the Killeen City Cemetery.
