Antonio Cesar Pena was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 2, 2012.
Mr. Pena married Carmen Ortega on April 19th, 1968. He joined the United States Army April 22nd, 1973. During his 21 yrs in the United States Army he was stationed at; various locations throughout the United States. And served in Panama, Korea, Germany, and a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Mr. Pena retired as Sergeant First Class.
Once retired from the military he joined DynCorp as a civilian contractor and worked for them for 3yrs.
He and his wife Carmen eventually became Foster parents to more than 1,000 kids up until the time of his passing.
He is preceded in death by his mother Enriqueta Perez and father Rogelio Pena.
He is survived by his loving wife Carmen Pena, son Antonio Pena Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida, daughter
Ruth Campbell and husband Peter Campbell of Lorena, Texas, daughter Elisabeth Pena and husband
Oscar Castellanos-Pena of Killeen Texas and brother-in-law Alfredo (Red) Ortega. Mr. Pena has six grandsons, Christian Ray, Jonah, Antonio, Christian, Nicholas, Orlando, three granddaughters, Taina, Ashley, Rocioandone, great-granddaughter Abbi Rae Rivera, his sisters, his brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pena loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He also loved working in his yard.
He was a member of Destiny World Outreach.
Mr. P as everyone knew him will be greatly missed by all.
The family is requesting donations to be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 10th and Sunday, March 11th from 3-8 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Killeen, TX.
Church Service will be at 11:00 AM at Destiny World Outreach, with Interment afterwards at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
