Funeral service for Allen S. McKenzie 82, of Florence will be on Tuesday, November 24 at 12 Noon at the Abundant Life Church in Killeen. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Military Honors. Mr. McKenzie was born on January 14, 1933 to Allen McKenzie Sr. and Lula Victoria McKenzie in Atlanta, Ga. He passed away on November 18, 2015 in Florence.
Allen spent 27 years in the military retiring at the rank of SFC in 1976. He also was a member of the Harker Heights Fire Department and the Harker Heights Police Department. He was a very active member of the Abundant Life Church and enjoyed working with the children in the community as well as those in the church.
There will be a time of visitation at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 6-8 PM.
The family request memorials are made to Kingdom Kidz at Abundant Life Church in Killeen.
