Vidal was born on November 4, 1936 to Felipe Trevino Garcia and Petra Trevino Sepulveda in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was 1 of 10 children.
Vidal married Ercilia Trevino on December 31, 1959. The two were each other’s lifelong companions and friends. They were blessed with one daughter, Aydee.
Vidal was a hard working man that retired at 80 years of age. He worked in agriculture for approximately 60 years. He loved going to work and socializing with his co-workers. Vidal enjoyed reading the newspaper, he loved conversations about politics and he always had many stories of his life to share. His hobbies included working on his fruit trees, taking care of chili plants, watching the news, meeting his friends at McDonalds for early coffee and biscuits, visiting friends and going to the swap meet where he enjoyed buying more and more tools even if he didn’t need them.
Vidal is survived by his wife Ercilia Trevino, daughter Aydee Cruz, son-in-law Jesus Cruz and grandchildren Sebastian Cruz, Isabella Cruz and Alexander Cruz.
Vidal will be especially remembered for the life he lead by example. He was a man of word, extremely punctual, responsible, reliable and he liked to get things done promptly. Vidal was a simple kind of man that enjoyed life to the fullest.
A visitation for Vidal will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, rosary from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM and mass from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 15437 W. Kearney Blvd, Kerman, CA 93630. Burial will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
Serving as pallbearers are Alexander Cruz, Sebastian Cruz, Jesus Cruz, Christian Cruz, Omar Cruz and Javier Cruz.
