Abraham was born March 16th 1933, in Los Guajes, Jalisco, Mexico. He was an active member of the Bracero Program, assisting his fellow workers in obtaining documentation and citizenship. He was a proud employee at the Biola Congregational Church for the last 30 years, a devout member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, located in Kerman, and an avid fan for the Chivas soccer club. Abraham passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 29th, 2021.
Abraham is survived by his son Abraham Mendoza Jr. (Maria Teresa); his daughter Ebelia M. Polanco; his son Moises Mendoza (Julie); his son David Mendoza (Gloria); and his daughter Lucy Baylon.
Abraham was preceded in death by his wife Maria De La Luz.
Abraham also leaves behind his 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Abraham will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church, 15437 W. Kearney Blvd., Kerman, CA 93630. A rosary service will occur Friday, December 17, 2021 from at 9:30 AM. A mass will occur Friday, December 17, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Peters Cemetery, 264 N. Blythe Ave., Fresno, CA 93706.
