She was born and raised in Southern Manitoba and spent the majority of her first 40 years in Vassar, Manitoba. She came from a large French Catholic family of 21 children. Her first and foremost career choice was being a homemaker. She also held many part-time jobs throughout the years, from driving the school bus, to direct sales. From the beginning of their marriage, she worked alongside her husband Ted in all his business ventures, such as cooking in wood camps, driving farm equipment and doing the business accounting. There was never a job too small or too large for Therese to undertake. Therese and Ted moved to Kenora in 1972 and they built their dream home on Lake of the Woods in 1982. She enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was her team skip in women’s curling for almost 30 years.
Therese’s number one priority was her family. She was always there when you needed her. She took great pleasure in cooking for her family and she was a very talented seamstress. She was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed very much.
