Anishanabe Inini – Bear Clan

July 19, 1991 – November 13, 2024

A resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the age of 33.

He was a gentle giant, he loved being with his grandparents. Sadly, his grand poppas passed early in his life, and he spent his days with his grandma’s. They’d ask him ‘How come you’re not with your friends?’, he’d respond ‘They’re boring and I find it fun sitting with an old lady’.

He enjoyed playing hockey and fort night, he loved drumming, he also enjoyed fishing and loved the outdoors. He was a fantastic cook, had numerous friends and family. He was quiet but funny too, he loved to tease and family members. He was a bear and like a bear he patrolled and protected us, he’d check up on everybody, he made us his last round.

He was predeceased by his sister Aleaha, his buddy and cousins Wendall Fobister, BJ Paul and Sheldon Paul.

He is survived by his parents Rebecca Fobister and Elliott Desrosiers, he will be missed by his children Bizhew, Dream and Champion, his siblings Shanice, Peter, Wabanaang, Makwa, Joseph, Memphis, as well as many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

He will be greatly missed by his childhood friends Hans, Bryce and Todd.

A wake service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 12:00pm at Northwest Angle 33 Community Hall, Northwest Angle 33, Ontario. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00am at Northwest Angle 33 Community Hall with burial to follow beside his sister Aleaha.
