Following a brief hospitalization, Ralph Mosher passed away in the early hours of Monday, November 2, six days shy of his 95th birthday.
Ralph is survived by Margaret, his wife of 70 years and sons Scott (Judith), Alan, Stuart (Tannis), and Bruce (Terri), grandchildren Ryan (Laura), Meghan (Sarah), Ian (Tracy) Heather, Jessica, Kane, Tegwyn, Jon and Liam, great granddaughters Neko and Sophie; sister Barbara; sister in law Virginia plus many nieces and nephews.
Ralph was a University of Toronto Chemical Engineering graduate who spent his entire career in the pulp and paper industry. As a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Ralph found time not only for his family but also for many community-based activities. Over the years he coached baseball, football, and hockey, was a minor hockey referee, Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. Ralph served on many Boards including the School Board, Hospital Board, Town Council, New Horizons, Police Board, Church Building Committees, Seniors Coalition and assisted with Meals on Wheels deliveries.
A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Lake of the Woods Hospital who provided such compassionate care and comfort to Ralph.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2021 when family from across North America can gather in Kenora.
