Michael Menard

January 21, 1954 - September 13, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michel Yvon Menard 'Mike' at the age of 57 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Linda, children Craig Lockhart (Amanda) of Orono, ON and Leah Rogers (Stuart) of Billericay Essex, UK. Mike was a proud grandfather of four, Brett Lockhart who was born on his birthday, his baby Morgan Lockhart and Ben and Mason Rogers, and man's best friend - his dog Sam. Mike is survived by his brother Jake (Carol) and their children Sasha and Jacob; sister Ginette (John) and their children Cameron and Jordan. Special friends Pat and Wednell McCord, Paul and Betty Perron, Wayne, Olga and Ryan Zaporzan. Mike will also be sadly missed by his shop pal Ceana Alcock, and his many friends.

Mike is predeceased by his parents Conrad and Jackie Menard, his sisters Michelle and Joanne and niece Madison. Mike leaves behind many aunts and uncles in Southern, Ontario. Mike will be ever remembered by many friends and surely never forgotten. A special thanks to Grant and Jody Alcock, Tim and Jeannie Gould and Gil and Monique Pelletier. A very special thank you to Gil for his travels and for being there for Mike through thick and thin, your caring and kindness will never be forgotten. Also a thank you to Mike's friends and crew on the pipeline (Cecile Shaver and Tom Dunn and Norma) and others too many too mention, and Jeff Rapinda for his Captain's expertise.

To Dr. Beveridge and the girls in chemo as well as 3rd floor nurses at Lake of the Woods District Hospital and to all at Concordia Hospital and chemo nurses (Wpg)., thank you for all your support.

Once again a cery special thank you to Gil, Cowboy and Grant for all you have done and will continue to do as time passes.
