Mary Scott

(October 07, 1962 – December 26, 2011)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Rhonda Scott, our beautiful sister, mother, daughter, aunt, granddaughter, Kokum and best friend.

Mary was born in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Kenora, Ontario and passed at lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora, Ontario after a long, courageous battle with diabetes.

Mary is predeceased by her husband Rex McDonald, by her father Cornelius Scott, daughter Samantha, son Ryan Scott, sisters, Jessie, Deborah, Linda Kent, cousins Cornelia, Brena Moonie, Leonard, Edward, David Jr. and nephews and nieces Gary, Eric, Leroy, James, Crystal, Shauna, Karen Kent, Jocelyn, Dawn Crystal, Kingsley, Edward, and Joni LaPomme.

She is survived by her mother Mary Jane Scott, grandfather George McDonald Sr., children Stephanie (Gary), Jimmy and Christopher, sisters Geraldine, Valerie, Sandy (Tom), Mary Jane McDonald (Charles) Joice, Emily and brother Jimmy Scott (Linda), cousins Colleen (Charles), Agnes (Joe), Laurie, Marvin (Georgina), Larry (Flora), mark, Vincent (Laura), Jessie (Bobby), Iris (Donny), Yvonne, Billy, Paula, Florence, grandchildren, Antonio, Amber, Dwight, Dwayne, Dream, Meghan, Michael, Rexetta, Selena, Amanda, Rexella, and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

Mary enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, playing video games, playing cards, walking around and loved spending time with her family members, especially grandchildren; she could make anyone smile just by smiling at them.

She loved listening to gospel and fiddle music, jigging in her younger days, teasing and laughing all the time, helping many people in times of need by opening her home. She loved cooking, cleaning and visiting and always had a pot of tea ready for anyone who came by.

She will always be remembered and forever loved.

Wake Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitedog Community Hall

Funeral Services will be held on January 02, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitedog Community Hall, with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating. Interment to follow at Whitedog Cemetery.
