Lorraine Burke

August 2, 1940 – July 25, 2023

Lorraine passed away unexpectedly in far off Thunder Bay Regional HSC Hospital, with her daughter Colleen by her side. Mom was born here in Kenora, and she was a wonderful mother, teacher and friend for us. She has left us way too soon.

Predeceased by her husband Roy ‘Bud’ Burke, daughter Louise Sinclair, parents Oscar and Hilda (nee Erickson) Jorgensen.

Left to cherish her memory are son Robert Sinclair (Michelle); daughter Colleen Sinclair; daughter Sandra Burke (Shane); grandchildren Amanda (Clayton); Scott (Christina); Jessica (Chris); Madison; Tyler; greatgrandchildren Lila, Malia and Gabriel; sisters Elva Ross and Janet Boyd; many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, cousins and her special friends Jean Nault and Bonnie Lengyel.

Our family want to thank the nurses and doctors at Thunder Bay Regional HSC Hospital for their care of Mom, especially Dr McCallum and nurse Victoria of their ICU unit for their kindness and compassion.

Thanks also to Cory and Debbie at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre for all your help and advice in the last two years.

Per Mom’s wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favourite charity.
