James Albert Vanasse passed away suddenly on August 16, 2011 at the age of 51. James was born on May 7, 1960. He is predeceased by his father Albert (Babe) Vanasse SR. He is survived by Daughter Alexis Vanasse, Son James Vanasse and one Grandchild Jackson. Also survived by Paula Hogan (stepchildren) David and Kevin, Mother Joyce Harasemchuk, Sisters and Brothers Tina (John) Romanuk, Mark Vanasse (Lorie), Cathy (Gary) Bowman, Angie Plante (Wade), Don (Deb) Vanasse, Nieces and Nephews Cory and Des ( Mackenzie and Allysa) Turcotte, Ashley and Clint Languemi (Logan), Megan Vanasse (Rick), Mindee Bowman (Chris), Caitlin and Ethan Bowman, Brittany Bowman, Jessica and Rebecca Plante, Harmony, Billy, Thomas, Edward Vanasse, special friends Dan Anderson, Deanne Litowski and Sharon Halley. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and many cousins.

Growing up in the tourist industry alongside his parents and siblings, Bimbo became a well known and experienced guide. The family owned Babe and Rowdy lake camps and also operated Big Stone Bay Lodge. It is here that he met the love of his life Marsha, after a long distance romance between the two they decided to marry in her homeland where he started a career in air craft maintenance

Upon return to his homeland, Bimbo resumed his career in guiding where he was well known and requested, working alongside George and Sharon Halley at Halley’s camps for a number of years. Bimbo was well known and liked within the community and all those who knew him knew what a big “heart” he really had. He was always trying to help others and guide them on their journeys.

Bimbo had a love for music and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest to others what kind of music they should be listening to. Bimbo’s eyes would light up anytime he would work on fixing cars or checking out collectable cars such as his teal greet GTO which he would love to cruise around town in.

Bimbo’s journey has taken a turn to which we had no control over and we will all miss him dearly.

We love you Bimbo.

There will not be a funeral at the family’s request. Private interment will follow after cremation.
