James Major

June 2, 1947 – April 5, 2023

Manwaywaygeyshik of the Makwa Clan passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 75.

Jim led a very private life with his wife Roseann on Powder Island, he was a very kind loving spirit who cared deeply for his people.

He is survived by his daughter Deana Major, grandsons Joshua, Dylan and Dennis Sandy. His son Kevin Major, grandchildren Brandon, Austin, Kevin Jr., Sydney, Cole Major and Libra Gibbs. His son Jason Major (Katie), grandchildren Miana, Raenna, Ronin Major of Grayland, Washington. His granddaughters Alexis, Diana, Summer, Jonette, Sunny Mandawagon. His sister Judy Major and her children. Daughter Michele Perrault, grandsons Matthew and Eric Perrault. Daughter Tanya Perrault, grandsons Camden and Jayden Perrault. Grandchildren Courtney and Cassidy Sinclair, Darin Shanacappo, along with 23 great grandchildren.

Jim was predeceased by his daughter Heather Major on April 4, 2023, daughter Shannon Shanacappo -2017, granddaughters Jennifer Perrault – 2015 and Jessica Perrault – 2022.

Jim requested cremation with no service.
