March 12, 2010
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Dad Jack Cromwell on Friday, March 12, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Keewatin, moving to Kenora at the age of seven, Dad only left the area once to serve overseas during WWII in the RCASC. He was a member of the Kenora Legion Branch 12.
Dad will be sorely missed by his son Bill (Brenda) Cromwell of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, daughter Dell (Rob) Ambs of Sioux Narrows, Ontario, grandson Chris Ambs, granddaughters Adrianna Ambs and Breena Kokopenace, and great grandson Riley Gosnell. He is also survived by sister-in-law Ec McCubbin of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, brother-in-law Winston (Joan) Huenison of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by the love of his life Bea Cromwell after 51 years of marriage, his parents Louis and Sybil Cromwell, brother Keith, sister Helene Brown, brother-in-laws Bill Brown and Welby McCubbin and his nephew Bryan Beck.
Special thanks to the Fitzgerald and Pernsky families for bringing joy back into Dad’s life after Mom’s passing. Especially to his lady friend Ena.
Dad found a great love for the sport of golf. In recent years he could be found on the golf course from spring thaw to winter freeze up with his buddies: Jim Wilson, Barry Leckie, Lionel Fillion, and Bob McMillin.
We know you and Mom are united once again and enjoying the “Fareways in the Sky” …..FOUR!!!!!
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 200 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre with Chris Ambs officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
