Fred Kelly, a resident of Onigaming First Nation, passed away on January 28, 2019 and was 71 years old.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jane of 37 years and his children Jason (Cindy), Fred (Jen), Waylon (Christine), Kristen, Katelyn (predeceased), Nathan Bear (Amanda), Jaelyn (Farzan), Heather (Jake), Gary (Crystal), grandchildren, Louis, Kailynn, Jason, Tristan, Sage, Ziigwan, Logan, Drake, Kaine, Camren, Rayna, Layla, Ava, Jaelyn, Athena, Julia, Brianna, Kiersten, Trent, Emery, Dakota, Aaron, Abbii, Tierney, Andrea, Hudson, Marcus, siblings Josephine, Florence (Tom), Ronnie (Geraldine), Donnie (Iris) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives too numerous to mention.
Fred was involved in many organizations, assisting with mental illness and addictions, but he has become well known as a Traditional Healer with many people travelling to attend his sweat lodge ceremonies.
Wake Service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Onigaming School Gymnasium.
Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Onigaming School Gymnasium with interment to follow in the Onigaming Cemetery.
